Note: is also a MSDOS executable version I have not been able
to run as
yet due apparently to lack of memory.

/* The following is an excerpt from the author's readme
file */
/* concerning this software. */
INTRODUCTION
STPLAN performs power, sample size, and related calculations
needed to
plan studies. Parameters of a test include those necessary
to
describe the distributions under the null and alternative
hypotheses,
sample sizes, significance levels, and power. Given values
for all
but one parameter, STPLAN will calculate the value of that
one
parameter.
HOW IT WAS WRITTEN
STPLAN was largely written in FLECS+, a Fortran preprocessor,
similar
in spirit to ratfor. The resulting ugly Fortran was polished
with the
Toolpack tools, pol and decs. We wish that we could claim
that it
passed the pfort portability test, but pfort runs out of
steam on
anything the size of STPLAN.

boards
and as shareware.
Modifications and improvements to the code can similarly
be freely
